Uncared National Memorial
During a recent visit to the National Martyrs Memorial at Savar, I was shocked to see the premises in untidy condition. Also, I did not see any metal detectors, archways or CCTV cameras. I think the authorities should keep it clean all throughout the year, not only in the month of December. In addition, adequate security measures should be taken to ensure the security of the memorial as the country has been facing serious security threats from extremist elements.
