Degrading values
One of my friends asked me how long decaying of ethics and morality will continue? I said, “The answer is simple”. He said, please clarify. I said, when you will not fear the punishment of Allah, and why someone will misconstrue the verses of the Quran saying that Allah will forgive all your sins regardless of their nature, you will be encouraged to commit crime.
My friend conceded to my points, adding that the State has something to do in this respect. I said, how? He said, the government might form a committee with such men as are faithful and pundit in the Quran. They will circulate all those statements with reference to the Quran that will help people build character and ameliorate ethics and morality.
Allah has said in four verses of Surah Qamar that He has made the Quran easy to understand, to remember. And in Surah Kahaf, Verse No. 1, Allah says that He has not made in it (Quran) crookedness. As such, it is easy for the scholars in the Quran to issue instructions on behalf of the State as and when necessary.
I am sure that the method will be workable. The government may consider my proposal.
