Sports channel
There is no TV sports channel in Bangladesh. This is unfortunate because we are a sports loving nation. We love to enjoy both live and recorded match of any discipline. As there is no sports channel, we have to depend on the foreign television networks. However, we feel that opening of a sports channel can be easy if the government takes initiative by converting one of the three BTV channels.
Will the government fulfill our desire?

Target Commonwealth Games
Bangladesh finished fifth with four gold medals behind Afghanistan (seven gold), Pakistan (10 gold), Sri Lanka (25 gold) and India (183 gold) at Guwahati, India. Nepal clinched three gold medals, but Maldives and Bhutan returned homes empty-handed.
Bangladesh, a country of 16 crore people, really cut a very sorry figure. To improve our position in the future, attention should be given to the individuals disciplines like shooting, weightlifting, field and track and swimming.
Shooting is the only discipline that brought gold medal for the country from the Commonwealth Games three times. We hope that the Sports Ministry should consider it.
