Allow the letter writers to write freely

I have minutely read the letter under caption and became thrilled by the contents expressed by writer Nur Jahan from Chittagong.
I agree with the writer that letter in the newspaper is the voice of the people and it should be duly considered for action. It is really true that people are not getting their payable importance from the government and we think that newspapers will give them that by publishing letters containing people’s grievances and suggestions.
I agree also that a letter should be published as long as it does not draw attention of the government, or an organization. In this regard, let us keep writing letters in newspapers.

Karate training for girls

block

Sumi Akhter, a young girl from Mostafi village in the district of Lalmonirhat, said, “As I know karate and can take care of myself, no stalker dares tease me.” Inspired by her successful training, many female students in the district have taken karate training, according to a report.
We think that every female should know kung-fu and karate, because these two branches of the martial art can be effective weapons against the stalkers, torturing husbands and their kindred. When the State is unable to give them protection, the option is martial art. We, therefore, request the country’s district and upazila administrations to arrange karate and kung-fu training for every female girl.
