More in-depth study needed

There has been negligible research about the socio-political and economic principles of Islam. As a result, both the western and the eastern critics have failed to realise the ultimate objective of this religion. Veil is compulsory in Islam, but it does not mean that the women have no other duties except becoming mothers of their husbands’ children. They can work in offices, academic institutions and banks provided their home duties are not sidelined.
Begum Rokeya established school for expansion of women education in Bengal. She moved from door to door in search of students and became successful, but she never ignored the necessity of veil in her personal life.
Allah says in the Quran what a female earns it is her; and what a male earns, it is his. But since males are maintainers of women, they (women) have their shares in the income of their husbands. Contrarily, a male has no right in the income of his wife. Certainly, women enjoy more rights than men. Their movement is restricted for security reason only, but not to make prisoner.
In truth, we need education and research to make the non-Muslims realise that Islam aims at the economic emancipation of people, and salvation in the hereafter.
