Games for glory

In cricket, Bangladesh (BD) now need to beat South Africa (SA) in the 3rd and last match of the underway one-day internationals (ODIs) in Chittagong this week, and then Australia towards the end of the current year to become the unofficial world champions.
Analysing the proceedings of the 2nd ODI match held in Dhaka, I am confident to say that the hosts outplayed the visitors in every department of the game, or to say, that the boys have by this time learnt how to control both emotion and misfortunes.
Our players should not be summoned to explain the reasons of their four defeats in a row (three to SA) in one month time, because anything can happen in games and sports. The win has, however, sent Bangladesh into the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy finale round to be hosted by England. We have now no worriness even if invigorated Pakistan beat hosts Sri Lanka in the underway one-day internationals series. It is rather West Indies that may miss the competition.
I am really hopeful that Bangladesh will be a potential contender for the trophy.
Thanks to fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman who captured highest three wickers for the team giving away 37 runs only. He has quality to become the world’s one of the best pace bowlers of all times. For this, he should follow Wasim Akram’s bowling technique and practice hard. Because nothing other than practice make one perfect. Labour brings laurels.
Bangladesh gifted with huge population has the best scope to earn world class reputation in games and sports if it is taken as an official policy as well social motive by its citizens by heart.
