A point to ponder

Majority populations of Bangladesh unlike the rest of the world observe the 15th Shaban as Shab-e-Barat (Night of Fate) every year. Those who do it quote Verses No.2-5 of Surah Ad-Dukhan in the Quran as document. But the fact is that According to the Surah Dukhan and Surah Qadr in the Holy Quran, Allah decrees the fate of every human being for the next one year in the month of Ramadan.
It is unanimously agreed that the word ‘Qadr’ refers to the Night of Power or Night of Fate or Night of Honour or Night of Magnificence.
The text of the Verses 44/2-5 is:
2. By the Book (Quran) that makes plain
3. Verily! We have revealed it (Book) on the Blessed Night-We are ever sending-
4. Whereupon every wise command is made clear
5. As a Command from Our presence-Verily! We are ever sending-
Verse No. 3 is usually taken in the month of Ramadan, say the 23rd, the 25th, or the 27th night of that month. It is referred to be the night of Power in Surah Qadr, V-1, Surah Baqarah, V-185.
Most commentators say that the night is blessed one as the Holy Spirit Jibreel descended to the Prophet Muhammad (SM) with first eight verses of the Holy Quran. The supporting verse is 97/1. The Text is:
We have revealed it (Quran) in the Night of Power.
We urge our religious scholars to throw light on the matter for providing logical insights/interpretation of the subject.
