Crimes on daily basis
The song ‘Bishaw Kobir sonar Bangla, Nazruler Bangladesh, Jibononander rupashi Bangla, rooper jey tar Neiko shesh’ often comes to my mind and I feel very sad because the beauty of Bangladesh is no more. It has been ravaged. The bleeding wounds are making a horrible sight.
Macabre incidents are taking place on daily basis. Murders, rapes, dacoities, kidnappings, there is no end to such criminal activities. Instead of tackling the situation, many law-enforcing agents are themselves becoming involved in crimes. Then to whom the people will turn to?
The Prime Minister has asked the people to remain alert to prevent the rise of the evil force. But is not the evil force already at work? We are feeling helpless and very upset not knowing if we will ever come out of this unbearable situation.
