Power of knowledge
Knowledge is the most important part of life. Knowledge means wisdom, understanding, consciousness, comprehension and information. Unless a man knows something, he cannot execute anything relating to that subject. That is why the very first word of the holy Quran revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (SM) is Ikra meaning Read, and Read means study, research, ponder, investigation and lessons.
Man is of four kinds. There is someone who knows something and is conscious about it; he is scholar, follow him. There is someone who knows something but is not aware thereof; he is sleeping, rouse him. There is someone who does not know anything but he knows it; he wants to know, help him. Finally, there is someone who does not know anything, which he does not know even. He is ignorant, avoid him.
In our society, the number of the last category of man is the most.

School transport business

Taking advantage of our children’s necessity of education, employees of many city schools have started transport business and earn a very good amount. They are irresistible and fix an exorbitant amount beyond our means. As for example, many residents of Demra pay under duress Tk 1,800 per month as transport cost whether classes are held or not. This amount is Tk 3,000 at some schools of Uttara.
When I wanted to know from headmistress of a city school about the transport business run by school employees, she said that she was not aware of it and advised us to arrange our own transportation. Still, we request all the school management committees through out the city of Dhaka to look into the matter.
