Congratulations to Iranian female footballers
Iran became Group B Champions in the AFC Women U-16 Qualifier held in Dhaka on Thursday. They came from behind to beat hosts Bangladesh 2-1. In their first three matches, Iran’s female footballers wearing head-coverings outplayed UAE 9-0, India 2-1 and Jordan 6-1 to the dismay of the critics of hijab (veil) and proved that veil is no barrier to success if the players have patriotism and determination.
The Iranian women won gold medals in a number of disciplines in the recently concluded Asian games hosted by South Korea. The Iranian women are doing jobs in the public and private offices, doing businesses, acting in cinema, taking part in games and sports, going to schools, colleges and universities and are working in every legal profession. There are, however, few conditions like wearing head-coverings, not to freely mix with males and not to touch their hands even while acting in cinema.
Those who cry against veil through out the world may take lessons from Iran.
