Allow Li Na to court again
Chinese Tennis Star Li Na ruled out return from retirement and said that she was enjoying holidays. But when she was saying this to the journalists on Sunday, she appeared dejected and pale, transpiring that she retired under duress.
It is true that in China, the athletes earn more than the top bureaucrats do, but they (sportspersons) have no freedom of choice.
What the ministry of sports will desire, the athletes will just have to do that in compliance. Naturally Li Na had no second option when she was asked to retire. Many tennis stars expressed surprise hearing that Li was retiring.
We think that Li should be allowed to return to the tennis court to prove that sportspersons’ land of comfort is China.
