Honouring the dead one

It has been a tradition in our society to criticize a man/woman after death in a very ugly manner. This is wrong and must be dropped once for all. One day the Prophet Muhammad (SM) was holding discussion with some of his companions at a corner of the Prophet Mosque. Just then, a group of men was passing by the Prophet with a dead body on their shoulders.
The Prophet stood up and asked his companions to follow him. One of them said: The dead body belongs to a non-Muslim. The Prophet said: Whatsoever his religious belief is, respect a dead body.
Again it has been a tradition to take the dead body to the Central Shahid Minar for paying respect by members of the public. This is also useless because the funeral should be completed as quickly as possible in presence of the available family members, kin and neighbours. There is no need to delay and there is no need to take it in an open field to be seen by people.
The Prophet said, when a man or woman dies, the doors of earning rewards and sins are closed forever. But the prayers of the deceased’s children and the wayfarers, who consume fruits of the trees planted by the deceased, and if any one is benefited by the wisdom the deceased spread would be the extra earnings.
We claim to be Muslims and hence we should follow our tradition. There is no need to create unnecessary dispute.
