Cinema halls in plight :
The number of the cinema halls in the country has come down to 150 from 1,500 in 33 years, for either the cine-audiences have changed their cultural behaviour or have chosen the televisions instead of going to the halls. On the other hand, the analysts say that plight of the cinema halls and the absence of good movies are also responsible for decrease of cine-audiences.
We differ to some extent. Dhaka once produced a good number of art film like Tomar-Aamar, Je Nadi Marupathe, Aakash O Mati, Matir Pahar, Ai To Jiban, Nadi O Mari, Mukh o Mukhosh, Jago Hua Sabera andDur Hai Shukh ka Gao etc.
