Risk of cardiovascular diseases
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), as many as 1.4 billion people in the world are at high risk of cardiovascular diseases because they do not exercise sufficiently. It is very alarming news for our new generation. The urban members of this generation are not much interested in outdoor games. To be fair, there aren’t enough playgrounds in the cities and towns either. As a result, they are getting increasingly susceptible to cardiovascular and other diseases.
The government should initiate an awareness campaign to encourage people to engage in physical activities. In addition, there should be enough parks and playgrounds so that people from all walks of life can exercise and have a sound and healthy life.
