Young minds are capable of doing great things

The news published in The New Nation on August 5, 2018 disclosed that in the last three years road accidents had taken lives of at least 25,120 and 62,482 people were injured.
The number is staggering and unacceptable. People were dying like flies and the concerned authorities did not take any steps to redress it, how could it be possible? Were the ministers sleeping when inexperienced drivers with unfit vehicles mowing down people?
We laud the actions of the students and support their ongoing endeavour to save lives, people from all over the country must support and help them in whatever way they can.
We are surprised by the transport workers strikes, it seems a ploy to make people annoyed with the students but we are sure people will understand that transport workers are doing it by the command of the high-ups. The students are not harassing drivers, they are only checking their driving licenses and documents to see if those are genuine.
We heard that some people wearing school uniforms had done some mischief but hundreds of uniforms could be made within a short time so it does not imply that those people belong to the students who are demanding a safe road for all.
To surrender to injustice is also a crime so everyone should show courage when necessary.
