Extrajudicial killing is not the solution
The number of alleged drug dealers killed in “gunfights” in the ongoing anti-narcotics drive across the country has crossed 100. This can only be a temporary solution, not a permanent one. While a small segment of our society may support this drive, most people do not.
When extrajudicial killings continue for a long time and becomes the norm, those involved are likely to resort to it for personal and political gains later on. That is something that no country can afford.
