Sodium-ion battery developed!

Researchers at Stanford University, California have developed a new battery by using sodium-ion which is reportedly much cheaper than the lithium-ion battery with efficient energy storage capacity. Lithium is much rarer and costlier and its processing cost is very high. On the other hand, sodium is freely available. In our everyday life in this electronics era, batteries are an indispensible power source for keeping our electronic gadgets functional. Of course, lithium battery, although costlier, still it’s light in weight and small in size which can comfortably be used in laptop, cell phones, etc. The scientists are now working on optimizing the efficiency of the phosphorous anode of their sodium-ion battery they have designed.
While sincerely congratulating the Stanford team of researchers, I wish their success in designing a really efficient sodium-ion battery.
