Well done Team Bangladesh

What a way to celebrate the 100 test match. Well done Team Bangladesh. In the past, you have made us jump with joy; cry in anguish; swallow in despair. But you have shown signs of growth. There have always been doubters. But you have given us a beacon of hope for the true believers.
Bangladesh won its 100th match against a incredibly strong side on home soil – Sri Lanka, ensuring that the 2 match test series ended in a draw. To understand the gravity of this achievement just remember this – the mighty Australia lost the 3 match series 3-0 to them just last year.
Bangladesh could have drawn the first test. We did manage to enter into the last day with all 10 wickets intact. History suggests batting against the Lankans on the last day is a daunting task; and given the questionable tamperment of our Top order batsmen the risk was always there that we would lose that test. Had we drawn that test we would have won the test series. But as a long time supporter I will take the drawn series and this historic win against a tough opposition at home conditions. I gleefully accepted another recent test series result that ended in draw – against England. As I write this I feel this article may upset some passionate fans. Some may feel we have already reached that level of competitiveness where we should have won the both the series in question. If I am wrong, I humbly and gladly accept my folly. Cricket Bangladesh has already proven many skeptics wrongs. We pray that in near future our Golden boys mesmerize us in greater extent.
