Reaching services at doorsteps of marginal people emphasized

Government officers underscored the need for reaching public services at the doorsteps of marginal people. Innovation in different public service systems is an urgent to make the delivering processes of the services easy to people, they observed.
The officers came up with the observation on Thursday at the closing ceremony of a five-day workshop on innovation in public services organised by Bangladesh
Betar at Regional Public Administration Training Centre (RPATC) in Chattogram. They stressed changing mentality of public officials to improve the quality of public services. The workshop was arranged with support from Cabinet Division and Access to Information (A2i) Programme under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Around 25 officers of different departments under the Information Ministry attended the workshop. Ministry’s Additional Secretary (Administration and Film) Mohammad Azaharul Haque inaugurated the workshop on June 24 while Bangladesh Betar Director General Narayan Chandra Shil was, among others, present.
Director of Bangladesh Betar and Course Director Nasrullah Md Ifran was present at the closing ceremony.
