The 2nd round games of the Open and Women’s both sections of the Asian Continental Chess Championships-2017 Open & Women, qualifying events of the World Cup Chess and Women’s World Chess Championship 2018 were held on Saturday at Chengdu in China.
National champion GM Eanmul Hossain Razib beat IM Tran Minh Thang of Vietnam in his 2nd round game. National runner-up GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib split point with GM Sriram Jha of India.
GM Razib and GM Rakib both earned one point each after 2nd round games.
In Women’s section, WIM Shamima Akter Liza beat Song Yuxin of China in her 2nd round game and national woman champion WFM Nazrana Khan Eva lost to Tan Li Ting of Malaysia in her 2nd round game.
WIM Liza earned one point of two games and WFM Eva yet to secure any point.
