visit Jhansi for the
promotions of her film
Mardaani. The actress has
a childhood connect with
the place. Her father (Ram Mukherji) is from Jhansi and the reason she was named Rani. He used to often recite to her, Khoob ladi mardani woh to Jhansi wali Rani thi, from a poem.
The actress recalls her visits to the Jhansi Fort with her dad and listening to tales about Rani Laxmibai. The star is excited as she is
visiting the place after
over 20 years.
