Rangana Herath tests corona positive

Spin Bowling Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Rangana Herath has tested positive for coronavirus in New Zealand. Herath has been isolated from the other members of Bangladesh Cricket team.
The members of Bangladesh Cricket team underwent Covid-19 test for three times. They became negative for two times after underwent Covid-19 test. But in the third test, Rangana Herath became positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Members of Bangladesh team left Dhaka for New Zealand in a flight of Emirates on December 8. A passenger have tested positive for coronavirus, who flew with the members of Bangladesh Cricket team. After reaching Christchurch of New Zealand, members of Bangladesh Cricket team have taken a seven-day quarantine . As some of the members were near to him, so, the quarantine period of them have been increased. They are: Mominul Haque, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Yasir Ali, Fazle Mahmud, Team Director Khaled Mahmud Sujon, Selector Abdur Razzak Raj and three supporting staff of Bangladesh Cricket team.
The cricketers, who have been out of danger for quarantine, they passed their time at the premises of quarantine center of Christchurch. Mushfiqur Rahim, Taskin Ahmad, Nurul Hasan Sohan and other cricketers took part in the gym session on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned that Rangana Herath did not act as a coach for Bangladesh Cricket team against Pakistan in the three-match T20I series and two-match Test series, which concluded recently. Later, he has been appointed Spin Bowling Coach of Bangladesh team for two years. Herath joined Bangladesh squad at Dubai. Bangladesh will play two Test matches against the Kiwis at the different venues of New Zealand. The tourists will play the first Test match against the hosts at Mount Maunganui from January 1 to January 5. The second Test between the touring side and the home side will take place at Christchurch from January 9 to January 13.
