The devotee muslims of 30 villages of 7 upazilas of South Chittagong began fasting(Roza) from today (Monday) after having Sehri on night of Saturday to keep similarity with the calendar of Saudi Arabia, sources said.
About 2 thousand family members of these village begin their fasting with people of Saudi Arabia every year.
The followers of Satkania Mirzarkhil Darbar Sharif, Silsilia Alia Jahangir Peer and Chandanaish Mamtazia Darbar sharif started their holy fast from today . Mentionable that one Muklesur Rahman Peer of Mirzakhil introduced this system of Holy fasting after sigthting of moon in Saudi Arabia from 200 years ago.
