Ramgarh Municipality win Bangabandhu Gold Cup

Ramgarh Municipality has become the undefeated champion of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman National Gold Cup Football Tournament. In the final of the tournament, the municipality became champion by defeating Ramgarh Sadar Union 2-0. The final match was held on 18 May at Ramgarh Government High School ground. Three teams participated in the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman National Gold Cup Tournament (Arundh 17 Boys) organized by Ramgarh Upazila Administration.
The tournament was inaugurated on 12 May. Although the municipality scored two goals in a row in the final match on May 18, Ramgarh Union Parishad could not score a goal. As a result, Ramgarh Municipality won 2-0 and became the undefeated champion of the tournament. Khagrachhari Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pratap Chandra Biswas was the chief guest in the final match. Ramgarh Upazila Nirbahi Officer(UNO) Khandaker Md. Ikhtiyar Uddin Arafat presided over the award distribution ceremony. Special guests on the occasion were Ramgarh Upazila Chairman Bishwa Pradeep Kumar Karbari, General Secretary of Khagrachhari District Sports Association and former District Council member Jewel Chakma, Ramgarh Municipality Mayor Rafiqul Alam Kamal, Upazila Vice Chairman Anwar Faruk, Officer-in-Charge of Ramgarh Police Station Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Kazi Nurul Alam Alamgir.
Kachinnu Marma Man of the Tournament of Ramgarh Municipality, Mragya Marma Man of the Final and Md. Parvez were named the top scorers in the tournament. Khagrachhari Deputy Commissioner Pratap Chandra Biswas distributed trophies and other prizes among the champion and runners-up team as the chief guest.
