The 6th Raman Lamba & Daulat-uz-Zaman FLCL (Foreign Local Cricket League) Twenty20 Cricket Tournament begins on November 4 at Residential Model School & College Ground in Mohammadpur.
Raman Lamba was an Indian cricketer who played in four Test matches and 32 One Day International matches. He died in 1998, three days after a ball hit him in his head while he was fielding in a match of Dhaka Metropolis Cricket League between Dhaka Abahani Club Limited and Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited.
Sheikh Daulat-uz-Zaman was a Bangladeshi national cricketer. He played for Bangladesh in ICC Trophy in 1979. He played for Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club for a long time. He died in 2002.
To remember them, A T20 Cricket Tournament started in 2013 at Jahangirnagar University.
A total of sixteen teams splitting into four groups will take part in the tournament.
The top one team from each group will get tickets of the semi-finals.
The participating teams are: Acme, ACC Amigos, Bangladesh Lawyers Cricket Club, BRAC University Ex Cricketers Association, Commonwealth Cricket Club, BMC Victorians, Bright Morning Cricket Club, Laila Cricket Club, Dhaka Indian, FUCC, Gulshan Youth Club, Hard Willow Cricketers, Sri Lankan Cricket Club, Renegades Cricket Club, Tec Republic Limited and Tex Style BD Limited.
