A protest rally and a meeting were held at Bonpara under Baraigram upazila in Natore district on Sunday demanding arrest and punishment of the killers of Sunil Gomez. The protest rally paraded the main road of Bonpara Pouro town.
Then they joined at a meeting. The meeting was presided over by Assistant Teacher of Saint Joseph’s High School Benedict Rozario. It was addressed among others by Sunil’s wife Zasintha Riberu, daughter Sapna Gomej, Bonpara Pouro Mayor K.M.Jakir Hossain, Secretary General of Bangladesh Christian Association Nirmol Rozario, Chairman of Puza Udjapon Parishad Natore Chittho Ranzon Shaha, Chairman of Puza Udjapon Parishad, Baraigram Direndra Nath Shaha. Speakers demanded arrest of the killers of Sunil Gomej immediately. He was murdered in his own shop on last June 5, noon.
His daughter Shapna Gomez filed a case to the Baraigram thana on the day . Now the case was conducted by Natore Detective Branch (DB) of Police. DB police arrested a truck-driver Abdullah-Al-Mamun but the police do not get any important clue of the murder .
There is no progress of the case.
