In line with other banks, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has opened mobile banking operation at its Local Principal Office (LPO) Monday.
Dutch Bangla Bank Limited extended requisite technical support towards the venture.
RAKUB Chairman Prof Dr Shah Newaz Ali opened the programme as the chief guest saying the bank has entered into a new era of banking.
Managing Director Mofazzal Hossain, Deputy Managing Director Dr Nazmul Bari, General Manager (Administration) Nishit Kumar Shaha, General Manager (Operation) Ekramul Haque and General Manager (Rajshahi division) Abdul Khaleque Khan, among others, were present at the ceremony.
RAKUB, headquartered in Rajshahi, has been operating its banking activities as the largest development partner in all 16 northwest districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions targeting the agriculture sector and its sub-sectors.
“We will be capable to improve consumers’ services through different electronic banking activities like online banking and mobile banking,” said Managing Director Mofazzal Hossain while speaking on the occasion.
