RAJUK carried out eviction drive for the second consecutive day on Wednesday against illegal commercial establishments at Gulshan Dhanmondi and Banasree.
During the drive, some restaurants, showrooms, departmental stores situated in the Dhanmondi area were demolished, and a Spa and beauty salon was sealed.
Sabur Khan, Sub-Inspector of Dhanmondi police station told The New Nation that RAJUK demolished some illegal establishments in front of the Home Minister’s residence. A fast food restaurant was also removed from Road No. 6 and a spa and beauty parlor was sealed.
At Gulshan 1 and 2, three restaurants and a parking space were sealed. Some showrooms and signboards were demolished at Banasree. During the drive, huge trafic was seen. RAJUK started the drive at 12:00 pm and ended the secound day’s drive at 1:00 pm.
It is mentionable that RAJUK launched its evection drive in the city yesterday from Gulshan residential area and demolished some illegal establishments.
The RAJUk’s eviction drive will continue for 21 working days in the city.
