Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) on Wednesday in separate drives penalised two private hospitals a total of Tk 3 lakh for operating in violation of the rules of the city development authority.
A mobile court of Rajuk zone-5, led by its executive magistrate Md Nasir Uddin, conducted a drive at Dhanmondi area and penalised Defam hospital Tk 2 lakh for setting up makeshift premises on the rooftop violating the approved design.
Another mobile court of Rajuk zone-3, led by its executive magistrate Khandaker Waliullah, conducted a drive at Mirpur area and penalised Al Helal Hospital Tk 1 lakh for illegally setting up an oxygen plant on the basement and asked the hospital authorities to remove the illegal structure within seven days.
The zone-5 mobile court also ordered to remove Cambridge Business and Law Academy, which is run for commercial purpose, from a residential building within three days.
