Rajshahi UZ Vice-chairman arrested in subversion case

Police have arrested the vice-chairman of Tanore Upazila Parishad, said to be a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, political party sans registration, for his alleged involvement in subversive activities.
He was arrested from the Upazila Parishad terrace on Thursday.
The arrestee, Abdur Rahim Molla, resident of Srikhandi village of the upazila, was arrested around 3:45pm in a subversion case, said officer-in-charge of Tanore Police Station Rejaul Karim.
Later, Rahim Molla was sent to Rajshahi Central Jail after appearing before the court, the OC added.
