Rajshahi District team became champions in the Popular Life Insurance 17th Inter-District Women’s Volleyball Competition beating Pabna District team by 3-0 sets in the final at Nur Hossain National Volleyball Stadium on Friday. Pabna District team emerged as the runners-up of the volleyball meet.
Meanwhile, Khulna District team finished third defeating Rajbari District team by 3-0 sets in a place-deciding match at the same venue on the same day.
After the final match, Managing Director of Popular Life Insurance Company Limited BM Yousuf Ali distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Director of Ifad Group Tasfin Ahmed, General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Ashiqur Rahman Miku and General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor were present at the time.
Chairperson of the Women’s Volleyball Committee and SP of CID Syeda Jannat Ara presided over the inaugural ceremony.
