Rajib Salehin is a popular actor and director of present time. He is known to most of the viewers as an actor. But he started his journey in media in 2005 as a director. During that time he made a documentary titled Thik Bari Noi Barir Moto. Then he started acting also.
Basically Rajib Salehin came into limelight to act in Golam Sohrab Dodul’s serial Shatkahon. He also got appreciation for acting in Tauquir Ahmed’s play Bihongo Kotha and others. But Rajib feels comfortable to give direction rather than acting. For this reason, he was engaged with making various TV shows. Besides making TV plays, he also made several numbers of TVCs.
Rege Gelento Herey Gelen and Keu Kotha Bolena are two mentionable works directed by Rajib Salehin. Now he is acting in two drama serials – Badrul Anam Soud’s Lukochuri Lukochuri Golpo on BTV and Golam Sohrab Dodul’s Bhalobashar Alo-Andhar on Deepto TV.
Rajib Salehin said, “I always prefer giving direction rather than acting. Now I am giving less time to acting because I will make short film. But I have appetite for acting. In fact, I enjoy it. I also acted in films. I have already finished shooting of Tanveer Mokammel’s movie Rupsha Nodir Bankey. Earlier I acted in same director’s film Jibondhuli and Prashun Rahman’s Sutopa’r Thikana.”
In real life, Rajib Salehin is husband of National Film Award winner actress Shormimala. Sadaf Salehin Writo is their only children. He is executive member of Actors Unity now.
