Raise voice against HR violation: Sultana

Rights activist and former adviser of the caretaker government Advocate Sultana Kamal on Thursday urged the people to raise their voice and protest against human rights violation.
 “People need to raise their voice and keep protesting against any human rights violation to keep the country free from negative forces such as communal chaos,” she said while inaugurating a new rights body ‘Manabadhikar Shongskriti Foundation’ (MSF) at the Jatiya Press Club in the city.
Sultana Kamal, founding chairman of the human rights body, also said those whose rights are violated do not protest thinking that they might be in trouble.
Introducing the rights organisation, she said its mission is to promote human rights culture across the society incorporating with government and non-government organisations (NGO).
She also said that losing of human rights leads to losing of human dignity.
National Human Rights Commission Chairman Kazi Reazul Hoque, said human rights are fundamental rights for all and it should be ensured for all the people.
He wished success for the newly born human rights organisation and hoped it will work in disseminating human rights culture in young minds.
MSF Secretary Saidur Rahman and its Founding Member Sanaiyya Faheem Ansari were also present at the programme.
