A mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the regions of Gopalganj, Faridpur and Pabna and it may continue and spread in 24 hours as of 9am today.
Besides, rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chattogram divisions and the district of Kishoregonj with hails at isolated places, said a met office press release here on Thursday.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it said, adding that day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The maximum temperature was recorded 38.8 degree Celsius at Jashore in Khulna division on Wednesday while Thursday’s minimum temperature was recorded 18.8 degree Celsius at Sayedpur, Tetulia and Dimla in Rangpur division.
