Rain with gusty wind likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted rain or thundershowers at many parts of the country along with dry weather at some places of the country’s northern region in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am yesterday.
“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky over Rajshahi, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions,” said a Met Office press release here on Thursday.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 36.0 degree Celsius jointly at Tarash and Dinajpur and lowest temperature on Thursday was recorded 22.7 degree Celsius at Tetulia.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am yesterday was recorded 32 millimeters (mm) at the Cox’s bazar.
