Rain or thundershowers with lighting flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind with a speed of 8 -12 kph from south or southeasterly is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions and the regions of Jashore, Kushtia and Cumilla.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, said a met office press release here on Saturday.
The rain or thundershowers activity may increase for the next 72 hours.
Meanwhile, the well marked low over Southeast Bay and adjoining South Andaman Sea intensified into a depression and now lies over Southeast Bay and adjoining area at 6am on Saturday. It is likely to intensify further and move in a North-westerly direction, it said.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the region of Maijdi court and it may abate in some places.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 37.2 degrees Celsius at Jashore and minimum temperature on Saturday was recorded 21.4 degrees Celsius at Netrokona.
