Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted that rain or thundershowers would occur in many parts of the country in 24 hours as of 9 am today.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Dhaka,Barishal and Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places,” a Met office bulletin said on Friday. Besides, weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, the bulletin added. Day temperature may fall slightly over South-western part and it may rise slightly elsewhere over the country while night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
The highest temperature was recorded 35.8 degrees Celsius at Ishwardi and Chuadanga under Rajshahi and Khulna divisions respectively and minimum 18.0 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat under Rangpur division on Thursday.
