Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts rain or thundershowers throughout the country in 24 hours as of 9 am today.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places in Khulna, Barishal Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Dhaka, Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions,” said a met office press release here on Monday morning. Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky in Rangpur division during the period, the release added.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. The maximum temperature was recorded 31.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday at Tetulia while Monday’s minimum temperature 17.0 degrees Celsius also at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am on Monday was recorded 16mm at Chandpur in Chattogram division.
