Rain stopped, weather still rough

The Bay of Bengal is now very rough due to monsoon rain which had started Sunday night. The Met office hoisted signal number 3 for rough weather. The officials of Patenga Met office said that the monsoon rain may continue for two or three days more.
On the other hand, the raining stopped from Wednesday morning in Chittagong. But, somewhere in the city and rural areas are continuing the raining.
According to local meteorological department Chittagong has experienced heavy rainfall for last three days. As a result, the drains and canals of the city and all the rivers of the district were full to the brim of rainwater causing inundation of the low-lying areas by overflow. Besides, the Dalu, Sangu, Halda and Karnaphuli rivers were full to the brim of floodwater caused by the torrential rainfall.
Meanwhile, the water from the low lying areas are being released as the rain stopped for several hours .
People who could not came out in last two days due to heady downpour, came out from homes for their regular jobs. Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation A J M Nasir Uddin visited the Halishahar and Agrabad area during the rain . He expressed his concern over the uncontrolled water logging and said that he is very sorry for water logging.
