General Manager of Bangladesh Railway (East) Syed Faruque Ahmed welcomed the passengers by giving flowers coming from different destinations in Chittagong Railway Station on the occasion of Railway Service Week on Tuesday.
Later, a discussion meeting was arranged and distributed leaflet and said that to ensure better service, government has take necessary measures.
Service Week started from 20th March and will be ended on March 25. The General Manager ordered concerned authority to mitigate the passengers’ complain suddenly and service providers must be reach to mass people he added.
Chief Commandant of Railway Nirapotta Bhahini Iqbal Ahmed, CME Mizanur Rahman, DRM jahanjir Chowdhury, DCO Mizanur Rahman, Deputy CCM Zakir Hossain and DTO Firoz Iftakhar were present on the discussion.
Bangladesh Railway took initiatives to clean of all seat cover and covers, toilet and repairing of al fans and lights, regular cleaning of platform, maintaining time, security for night passengers and prohibited right on the roof of train.
