Dhaka, Delhi agree to enhance information for disaster management

Bangladesh and India on Thursday agreed to enhance exchanging information for disaster management.
This agreement was reached when Indian High Commissioner Harshavardhana Sringala called on Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya at Bangladesh Secretariat office in the city, said an official release.
They exchanged views on Asian minister level meeting on disaster risk reduction to be held in India next week. Five thousand delegates from 51 countries will attend the meeting.
The Indian envoy said the two countries want to work more closely to exchange information on disasters such as earthquake, cyclone and flood.
He said India give offer five-year multiple visas to the freedom fighters in Bangladesh and offer scholarships for their children to study in Indian universities.
Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya said Bangladesh could tackle the last fool properly for getting early information from India.
He hoped that India would continue this cooperation in future.
Disaster Management and Relief Secretary M Shah Kamal was at the meeting.
