The National Consumer Rights Protection Department has conducted a raid on flour and flour wholesale shops in Savar, Dhaka. The operation was carried out at Nama Bazar on Tuesday afternoon. At that time, the three shops were fined Tk 1.55 lakh for under-weighting of different products, mismatch of selling price with the list and arbitrary increase of price.

Officials at the National Consumer Rights Protection Department said a raid was carried out at a shop called Ekta Enterprise in Namabazar, Savar this afternoon.
The company was fined Tk 50,000 for not having the purchase receipt and price list and arbitrarily increasing the price.
Later, Shilpi Enterprise was fined Rs 5,000 for not having price list and M / s Alam Enterprise was fined Rs 1 lakh for underweight, arbitrary price increase and discrepancy in selling price with list.
In addition to imposing fines at this time, every trader is warned to refrain from such immoral activities in the future.
At the end of the operation, Abdul Jabbar Mandal said, “This operation is being conducted all over the country including Dhaka. As part of this, an operation was launched in Savar.
We have fined three companies. In the case of sale of flour, evidence has been found of selling goods at two prices in the morning and in the afternoon. This campaign will continue in the public interest. In the case of oil, both retail and wholesale, we have ongoing operations. “
