Defender Riyadul Hasan Rafi has become the Captain of Saif Sporting Club. Rafi has led Saif Sporting Club instead of midfielder Jamal Bhuyan.
Managing Director of Saif Sporting Club Sheikh Maruf Hasan announced on Monday at Muktijoddha Smrity Stadium in Rajshahi that Riyadul Hasan Rafi would be the skipper of Saif Sporting Club. He will be the replacement of Jamal Bhuyan. Jamal Bhuyan had been acted as the Captain of Bangladesh National Football team for four to five years. He was also the Captain of Saif Sporting Club for five to six years. After the first phase of TVS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football, there was a change held in the Management Committee of Saif Sporting Club. Then, the Management Committee of Saif Sporting Club decided to change the Captain of Saif Sporting Club. However, the Management Committee of Saif Sporting Club announced on Monday in Rajshahi that Riyadul Hasan Rafi would act as Captain of Saif Sporting Club. Saif Sporting Club faced Bangladesh Police Football Club in their second leg match of the TVS Bangladesh Premier League Football on Monday. It may be mentioned that Saif Sporting Club emerged the runners-up of Federation Cup under captaincy of Jamal Bhuyan. Riyadul Hasan Rafi has been playing as a defender of Bangladesh National Football team for several years.
