In about a decade of operation since 2006, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Hotel, close to the capital’s Shahjalal International Airport, has succeeded in proving to be a good place for meeting the needs of business travelers in respect of residential accommodation. Located beside the airport road and situated in a very gigantic compound (biggest in Bangladesh) the 200-guest roomed hotel complex is said to achieve 80 per cent occupancy on an average annually. The hotel’s F & B (food and beverage) service for hotel’s room guests (24 hours) or outsiders is also very good. Anybody, a room guest or an outsider, can enjoy 40-item buffet breakfast between 6-30 and 10-30 in the morning for BDT 2,050, a sumptuous 45-item buffet lunch between 12-30 and 3-30 PM for BDT 2,550 and 60-item buffet dinner between 6-30 and 11 PM for BDT 3,100 per person.
Foreigners staying long in Bangladesh or locals can enjoy regular weekend two-night one-day package for BDT 26,500 for two. The weekend package time is ‘check-in’ at 6 PM and ‘check out’ at 12 noon on the third day. The weekend package includes buffet dinner on the first day, buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and buffet dinner on the second day and buffet breakfast on the third and final day.
Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden has two swimming pools-one for children and other for adults. Although the swimming pools are free for use by the room guests, outsiders can also enjoy swimming at the pools @ BDT 2,500 per child and 3,500 per adult per day.
