Left-arm batsman Ravindra is basically an opening batsman, but he can also bat in the middle order. As well as his left-arm spin is also quite effective, as he was quite an effective part of the New Zealand under-19 team back in the 2016 ICC Under-19 World Cup.
As the name suggests, Ravindra’s roots are in India. His father Ravi Krishnamurthy was a cricketer, played club cricket in Bangalore with stars like Javagal Srinath. Later, he toured England, Singapore and Australia and settled in New Zealand, and Ravindra was born there.
Growing up in the cricket system of Wellington, Ravindra came to Bangladesh to play in the 2016 Under-19 World Cup when he was only 16 years old. Not having too much of an advantage off the bat, he took six wickets with the ball, and drew attention to the next Youth World Cup.
