Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata Prof Sabyasachi Basu Ray Chaudhury called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Wednesday at the latter’s office of the university.
Professor Emeritus Dr Anisuzzaman of Dhaka University and Prof. Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Chairperson of the Department of Dance were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint academic and research programs on dance by the universities.
They stressed the need for strengthening cultural exchange programs between Bangladesh and India.
Exchanges of teachers, students and researchers between Dhaka University and Rabindra Bharati University were also discussed in the meeting.
Besides, they discussed the possibilities of holding ‘Rabindra Bharati Festival’ in Dhaka as well as ‘DU Festival’ in Kolkata under joint auspices of the two universities.
