The government has transferred Sarwoer Alam, the executive magistrate of the Rapid Action Battalion, to the expatriates’ welfare and overseas employment ministry as a senior assistant secretary.
According to official sources, the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday issued a notification in this regard. Sarwoer Alam, an officer in the administration cadre of the 27th BCS, had been working as an Executive Magistrate at the RAB headquarters since 2015.He is well-known for his courageous role in the anti-corruption campaign. He also conducted mobile courts against various irregularities and frauds at different times.
Recently, Sarwoer Alam also led a raid in the house of ruling party MP Haji Selim.
At that time, he sentenced Haji Selim’s son Irfan Selim to one and a half years for two crimes.
