Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman said the government is working to ensure planned industrialization across the country.
“Under the initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the government is establishing 100 Special Economic Zones across the country. It was meant to protect agricultural land as well as to ensure planned industrialization,” he said while speaking at a roundtable discussion at the Washington DC in the USA on Wednesday, said a press release.
US-Bangladesh Working Group of the US Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center, hosted the business roundtable on “Future of Investment in Bangladesh”.
Leading Bangladesh delegation at the roundtable, Salman Fazlur Rahman has delivered a comprehensive speech focusing on Bangladesh’s investment potentials.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the US Md Ziauddin, and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Md Sirazul Islam also took part in the discussion.
