Students of Qawmi madrasas will also be brought under Covid-19 vaccination, said Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday.
“School children are already being vaccinated. The vaccination campaign is continuing in full swing. Apart from this, a large number of our students also study in Qawmi Madrasa. We want to include these students in the vaccination programme,” said DGHS spokesperson Dr Najmul Islam in the regular health bulletin.
“We would like to say to all those involved in Qawmi Madrasas that as soon as the registration of students is completed, we will be able to give 100% vaccination,” he added.
Dr Najmul Islam said, “Apart from this, we also want to vaccinate the transport workers who are working to make our lives easier. Therefore, if the authorities concerned send the list to ICT Division following the proper procedure, then the task of vaccinating them would become easier for us.”
