Qatar Charity distributes food items in Bhasan Char

Qatar Charity has distributed essential food itemsas relief among the 500 Rohingya familieswho were takenfrom Teknaf to Bhasan Charin recent days.
The three-member Rohingya family was provided a 45 kg sack containing various food items where each large family got a 65 kg sack.
The food items included rice, pulses, oil, salt, sugar, onion, garlic, ginger, spices, flattened rice, eggs, dried fish, and potatoes.
The food distribution ceremony was held in the first week of February in Bhasan Char, an island in HatiyaUpazila, Bangladesh, in the presence and supervision of responsiblegovernment officials in that area.
Osman Bashir Mohamed, Program Director of Bangladesh Office, was present there as a representative of Qatar Charity.
Osman Bashir saidRohingya refugees were facing various humanitarian crises. As an internationally reputed humanitarian organization, Qatar Charity stands by the Rohingyas for their better living.
`Qatar Charity would continue to implement such types of programs in the future’, he informed.
Since 2018, Qatar Charity has been providing free health care and safe water service to the Rohingya refugees at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar District.
Last year, more than 200,000 Rohingya families received this service uninterruptedly.
